Booking & rates

How far in advance should we book?

For July and August weekly charters, 4–6 months ahead is realistic; day cruises usually need 2–3 weeks. May, June, September and October are far more flexible — sometimes we can take you out with 48 hours' notice.

What does a charter cost?

Day cruises start from a fixed all-in rate per boat (not per person) including skipper, fuel for the standard route, lunch and drinks. Weekly charters on the KASSANDRA 50 are quoted individually — tell us your dates and we send a transparent, all-in proposal within 24 hours.

What is the payment and cancellation policy?

30% deposit at booking, balance 30 days before departure. Free rebooking up to 14 days before; if the skipper cancels for weather, you choose a new date or a full refund.

The yachts

Why a power catamaran as flagship?

Two hulls give the KASSANDRA 50 a beam of 8.2 metres — a stable platform that barely rolls at anchor, which matters more for guest comfort than any other single number.

How fast do the yachts go?

The KASSANDRA 50 cruises at 17 knots, the SITHONIA 40 at 22 and the ATHOS 35 at 24. In practice: nowhere in our waters is further than 90 minutes away.

Is there shade on board?

Every yacht has permanent shade for the full guest count — bimini, hardtop or shaded cockpit. Nobody has to queue for the umbrella.

Life on board

What food and drink is served?

On day cruises: a cold Greek lunch (our host shops the same morning), soft drinks, local wine and beer. On weekly charters: half board prepared aboard, with taverna evenings ashore. Dietary needs are handled with one line in the booking form.

What should we bring?

Swimwear, sunscreen, a hat — that's it. Towels, snorkel gear, SUPs and a first-aid kit are aboard. Soft bags only for weekly charters, please: hard suitcases and teak lockers don't get along.

Are children welcome?

Very. We carry child-size life vests from 10 kg upwards, the swim platform has a shallow entry, and our crew are parents themselves. Children under 2 sail free.

Routes & weather

Where do we go?

That depends on wind and wishes. The classic day loop is Ormos Panagias → Diaporos lagoon → Kavourotrypes → back along the coast. Weekly charters reach Ammouliani, the Athos coast and Kassandra's southern bays.

What if the weather turns?

The gulf of Sithonia is one of the most sheltered cruising grounds in Greece — most 'bad' days are simply rerouted to the lee coast. If the skipper judges a day unsafe, you rebook or get a refund. His word is final; that is a feature, not a bug.

Can we visit Mount Athos?

By sea, yes — at the legally required 500 m distance, which is exactly where the view of the monasteries is best. Landing is not possible on a charter; the monastic republic has its own entry rules.

Bareboat & licences

Can I charter without a skipper?

Only the SITHONIA 40, and only with a valid ICC or equivalent national licence plus a VHF certificate. A short check-out sail with our skipper is mandatory — 30 minutes, no exceptions.

Do you accept foreign licences?

ICC is the gold standard. German SBF-See, Croatian Voditelj brodice and most EU national licences are accepted; send us a photo before booking and we confirm within a day.

Getting here & practicalities

How do we reach the base?

Ormos Panagias is 90 minutes by car from Thessaloniki airport (SKG). We can arrange a private transfer, or you park free of charge 50 metres from the pier.

Is there Wi-Fi on board?

Yes — 4G/5G routers on all yachts; the gulf has surprisingly good coverage. The flagship also carries satellite backup for the Athos coast, where terrestrial networks fade.

Can we charter for events?

Proposals, birthdays, small weddings — up to 12 guests afloat, more at the pier. Tell us the occasion; the decoration, cake and photographer are one email away.
